Babar Azam is a Pakistani cricketer and the current captain of the Pakistan national cricket team. He is widely considered as one of the best batsmen in the world and has already achieved several milestones in his short career. Early Life and Family Background:


Babar Azam was born on 15th October 1994 in Lahore, Pakistan. He belongs to a family of cricketers as his uncle, Kamran Akmal, and his cousins, Umar Akmal and Adnan Akmal, have all played for the Pakistan cricket team. His father, Azam Siddique, was also a cricketer who played for Lahore and later served as a coach at the Lahore Gymkhana Cricket Academy.


Babar Azam grew up in Lahore and started playing cricket at a very young age. He was initially coached by his father and later joined the Lahore Gymkhana Cricket Academy, where he received training from some of the best coaches in the country. His talent was soon noticed by the selectors, and he was included in the Pakistan Under-15 team at the age of 13.


Domestic Career:


Babar Azam made his first-class debut for Lahore Ravi in 2010 at the age of 15. He scored a century in his second game and soon became a regular in the team. In 2012, he was selected to play for the Pakistan Under-19 team in the World Cup and was the leading run-scorer for his team in the tournament.


Babar Azam made his debut for the Pakistan A team in 2013 and was soon called up to the national team. He continued to perform consistently in domestic cricket and scored his first double century for the Lahore Blues in 2015. He was also named the captain of the Pakistan A team in 2016 and led the team to a series win against Sri Lanka A.


International Career:


Babar Azam made his international debut for Pakistan in a T20 match against Zimbabwe in 2015. He scored 41 runs in his debut match and was immediately recognized as a talented batsman. He made his ODI debut against Zimbabwe in the same series and scored his first ODI century in the next match. He became the third Pakistani batsman to score a century in his third ODI after Zaheer Abbas and Saeed Anwar.
